Star wars hallway scenery4/29/2024 “The night I destroyed his temple? Did he tell you why?” Kylo asks, nodding slightly and walking towards her. Rey frowns in confusion, her features softening a tiny bit. “Did he tell you what happened?” he asks. Kylo’s face, previously mirroring her’s in fascination, (her at the rain, him at their bond) flashes with mild hurt before becoming neutral. Kylo looks a little surprised and shaken by her intensity. Rey’s face turns to disgust, “Murderous snake!” she spits out angrily. He asks, “Why is the Force connecting us? You and I.” She takes a deep breath and they stare at each other for a couple of seconds of silence. Rey’s face goes from tranquility to confusion as the bond fully connects and she sees Kylo. Kylo hears the ocean waves from Rey’s surroundings and tilts his head as the bond connects. Sparks from ship maintenance rain down in front of Kylo, who is in a similar stance to Rey, mirroring the spay of water in front of her. Then there’s a cut to Kylo, in that same moment, staring off into the distance (like a true angst boy), most likely, a ship hangar on the Supremacy. Rey stands still, feet shoulder width apart, looking out at the sea. She’s so cute! (: She walks to the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea as a wave crashes against the island, spraying up the sides of the rock. We, the audience, realize she’s probably never seen rain before because she’s lived on Jakku her whole life. She plays with the rain for a moment in child-like fascination and glee. In the Rain Scene, Rey has just walked out of the falcon with Chewie, and into the rain. He notices that he can’t see her surrounding and, “just you.” He also deduces that she’s not astral-projecting like Luke did at the end of the movie because, “the effort would kill you.” Kylo is pretty interested as to why they’re connected and says,”this is something else.” In contrast, Kylo is curious about why they can see each other across the galaxy and slids around in the hallway like a dork. They connected for a minute or so and Rey fired her blaster at him and called him names. Rey and Kylo had previously connected in the Force once before, while Kylo was getting his scar stitched up and Rey was sleeping in a hut. Here’s a summary/context of the scene before we get into the examination: (many of Daisy and Adam’s acting choices are pretty ambiguous so I did my best and this is my personal interpretation of their acting choices.) Today I’ll be analyzing the Rain Scene from The Last Jedi because every Star Wars movie deserves a Reylo analysis scene. Frank. In my last Star Wars scene analysis I examined the interrogation scene, a pretty complicated scene. I can’t wait □ Sit back and Enjoy the show !!! Chat again soon.
